Designed with the competitive shortboarder in mind, the FCS Competition Leash is 5.5mm wide. As with all FCS leashes, they are rigorously tested to ensure increased comfort, functionality and strength. Their leashes feature a detachable rail saver and cuff, a smooth rotating swivel assembly, and a high density neoprene ankle strap with internal key pocket.

The FCS 6' comp leash is the best all-around leash I've found so far. It's comfortable - the harsh velcro is on the inside while the softer velcro is the one facing your ankle - no scraped ankles, no torn-up wetsuits.
The joint where the cord meets the ankle-strap is ingenious - it's sturdy, but has flex points built in along with rubber stoppers that prevent it from twisting too far, which helps keep the connecting plate from digging into your ankle - a real plus when the waves are heavy.
The rail-saver is quite wide, which does make getting it on and off your board a bit tough - but it thoroughly prevents tail damage by spreading the pressure out more than narrow rail-savers.
Hands down the best comp leash out there.
