Zap Skimboards has been the world’s leading manufacturer of skim boards and accessories for over 20 years. It was started with the vision of produce superior quality skimboards at a competitive price. Born in a backyard, the first Zap skimboard was built in 1983 by founder Bob Smetts, in Venice Florida. Since then, he has been working to satisfy the demands of skimboarders everywhere. Zap grew to be a national brand, and by the early 90's, Zap found it's way to the beaches of Europe, Asia, South America, Australia and the Caribbean. Zap offers different kinds of skimboards depending on the skill level of its users. For novice riders, they have the Fish, Wedge, and Lazer, which also comes in different sizes.
