Mr. Zog's Sex Wax is a Carpinteria, California, brand of surfwax manufactured for use on surfboards. It was first produced by Fredrick Herzog III (Mr Zog) and chemist Nate Skinner in 1972. Mr. Zog's Sex Wax® is a specially formulated wax used to coat the deck of a surfboard and provide traction between the surfer's feet and the surfboard. There are four types of Mr. Zog's Sex Wax® used for surfing: original Sex Wax, Quick Humps, Really Tacky and Navel Wax which is a body-boarding wax. The waxes come in a assortment of aromatic fragrances and are available in a variety of formulas to accommodate different water temperatures.
In addition to surfboard waxes, Mr. Zog also makes a snowboard wax. Mr. Zog's Sex Wax For Snowboards® comes in two varieties--a "melt-on" application, available in three formulas for various snow conditions, and a "rub-on" application, available in one all-purpose formula suitable for most snow conditions. Mr. Zog's Sex Wax has a formulation for drummers to put on their drumsticks for better grip in addition to a stick wax for better puck control on ice hockey sticks.
